Some might argue that a remaster doesn’t make much sense because the game is now backward compatible on Xbox One. So, a Red Dead Redemption remaster isn’t completely out of the question. BioShock: The Collection is coming next week (via 2K Games, which is the publishing arm of Take-Two). Second, Take-Two Interactive (who owns RockStar Games) is doing remasters. Red Dead Redemption would see similar excitement. There might be just as much excitement for that as there is for Infinite Warfare. Just look at something like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare remastered. The release of the game was so close to new hardware releases, it was a no-brainer for RockStar games to release it again.īut there is a case for a Red Dead Redemption remastered. Yeah, GTA V came out for both Xbox 360/PS3 and Xbox One/PS4, but that wasn’t a remaster. But RockStar hasn’t made any indication about remastering games. Sure, plenty of games received the remaster treatment. Should Rockstar remaster or make a sequel or both? It looks cool, but it’s just a mock-up from a dedicated fan. And don’t get your hopes up about the Red Dead Retribution flyer floating around the internet. We don’t have to sit around for months wondering if it’s true.
